What to expect

During our tulum afternoon tour and playa del carmen sunset

Because you are on vacation, the tour will start after noon, allowing you to rise late and take advantage of your hotel’s delicious lunch. We will pick you up on an air-conditioned vehicle, where you will meet your local guide.
Starting an afternoon journey to Riviera Maya, having Tulum ruins as your first destination. Tulum is known as the walled city and it is famous for its breathtaking views, given by its privileged oceanfront location. To ensure that you get the real atmosphere of the site, a local guide specialized in Mayan culture will join us in the ruins. During 45 minutes you will get amazed by the history and Mayan legends that have been kept in this place for thousands of years. Before leaving Tulum ruins, enjoy 30 minutes of free time to take pictures and walk around at your leisure.
Next, we will start the following part of our tour. Going down the road, we will arrive at Playa del Carmen town. Taking you right to the heart of the town, the famous 5th Avenue, at the time where it reaches its maximum splendor. During sunset on 5th Avenue, Playa del Carmen’s lights start to glide turning the place into a magical scene. You will have 2:30 hours of free time for shopping, dining and enjoy the town. Before leaving, a visit to the Tequila Museum will complete your visit to Playa del Carmen.

What to know before you book

  • Free infants must sit on laps if no seats are available.
  • You will be contacted to confirm your exact pickup time and the nearest pickup point if your hotel or accommodation is not served by the routes.
  • Within the site Tulum, the photography for personal non-commercial use with handheld cameras or cellphones is allowed. Go Pro cameras, video cameras or any device to shoot video applies a fee of 45 Mexican pesos, payable at the entrance of the archeological site.
  • A collapsible wheelchair can be accommodated, please advise.
  • The main entrance to the archeological site is located about a 10-minute walk from the parking place (vehicles are not allowed all the way) and there is a train shuttle with an additional fee that can ride you to the main entrance. This is optional not included in the tour fee.
